Aspen Recess Registration is OPEN!
Two ways to pay—DWOLLA or Credit Card
What's with the sliding scale pricing structure?
In order to make this event financially accessible to as many people as possible, we are offering tickets on a sliding scale, with tickets ranging from $75 and up. Please consider your financial situation and buy a ticket at the high end of what you can afford. This gives access to folks who couldn't otherwise afford to come. If $75 is outside of your price range, fill out one of our sexy-lookin' Volunteer and/or Scholarship applications and our scholarship committee will work hard to issue you a ticket you can afford. These events are about community and access.

Can't Afford a Low Income Ticket? Fill out a scholarship form!*
*Please note that Scholarship covers only entrance to the event and does not cover food. While we really believe in financial accessibility, the amount we charge for food is literally the cost it takes us to feed you, so we ask that you try to cover your food costs if at all possible. We are charging less than $3 dollars a meal for local, organic food with big portions. We generally ask that people either cover their own food costs to buy meal tickets or that they try to feed themselves at the event.

Paying with DWOLLA
Avoid paying the extra credit card fees!
- Register for the "FREE" ticket below in the Credit Card section.
- Go to DWOLLA and simply pay the amount of your chosen tickets to [email protected]. PLEASE, put a note indicating the event and the tickets you are buying (Ex: "Aspen Low Income Ticket and Veggie Plan"). Otherwise we won't know you've bought tickets and will just have to assume it an untimely (but still generous) holiday gift to Recess.
- Then FILL OUT THIS FORM to tell us a little about you, and you are done!
Setting Up A DWOLLA account: We offer payments through DWOLLA. It's a secure online payment system that allows for direct transactions between banks (or local credit unions!) that offer a great work-around that avoids extortive credit card fees. It takes a bit of set-up; but if you opt to pay with DWOLLA, we'll give you 10 business days to get your account verified and balance transferred.
Paying with a credit card
Super easy, just fill it out like you normally would, pay the extra fee Visa charges us, and you're done!
What is the Recess food Co-op?
As always, collective meals and snacks will be available all day every day. Everyone who wants to eat with us can buy a food share and our kitchen team will pool all the cooperative food funds and volunteer labor and use it to provide totally awesome meals made with the most fresh, local and organic food possible.
Vegan and gluten-free options will be available at every meal.
One food share ($25/event for Aspen) entitles you to 3 days of vegetarian food, which includes 3 meals a day.
The first official meal of the event will be Friday dinner, and the last Monday Brunch.
In addition to your veggie share, you can also buy a meat ticket. Because meat is extremely resource intensive not just to produce, but to buy, refrigerate off grid, and prepare safely, there will be an additional cost for meat shares. One meat share ($15/event for Aspen) will entitle you to meat meals, including one 3 - 4 oz. servings of meat each day. If you think you want twice that amount, feel free to purchase multiple meat shares.
