Old World Recess: Austria
June 29-July 3, 2017
Southern Austria
Recess has been producing progressive, boundary pushing, culture creating events in the American partner dancing scene over the past 10 years. This is Recess's fourth year throwing events in Europe and serves as a small, intimate, and playful testing ground for what we want our dance community to be.
We will spend three days and four nights dancing, eating, camping, and making merry in meadows of the Austrian Alps, 2.5 hours south of Salzburg. Our setting is the stunning Schloss Berg Klösterle XL mansion, featuring 18th century architecture, arched stone cellar, dipping pond and sauna! There are 25 beds for an extra cost, otherwise camping is included with the purchase of an event ticket.

Riding with Recess
Recess just got a new bus! Their name is Deseada Victoria, and they're a London Double Decker, as charismatic as you can believe. She'll/They'll be helping with rides between Recess events this summer tour in Europe. If you want "on-the-bus" be sure to sign up and pay for your gas-share through this registration. Everyone "on-the-bus" is expected to not only contribute with gas costs, but also to help set-up the event we are going to when we arrive, as well as pack-up when we are on to our next trip! Don't expect a relaxing vacation; expect an experience that you won't be able to find anywhere else!
Below are the prices for gas-share. She is an expensive gas-guzzling beast, but worth it!
