Recess is co-hosting a Global House Party to help raise funds, awareness, and just action for racial justice. We are coordinating DIY parties and events all over the world, dancing and getting down to the same music. There will be both a Fusion music and Blues music live stream from talented DJs all over the world.

About the Global House Party
We're throwing a party! Epic, even for Recess proportions. It will span the globe and include all corners of our ever-expansive community, and all to help support racial justice.
Recess community members will host house parties all over the world on the same night—each furnished with your own vision and inspiration. Recess will coordinate a live stream of our favorite DJs and live acts from all over the globe. We will be running an Indiegogo campaign along side it, with our total goal amount being the dollar amount that we gave in scholarships last year at Recess events. People donate whatever they want for their party entrance (no one turned away) to help support the campaign, and (what's a Recess without amazing food?) each party will host their own "secret caffe" and "punk bar" where people can bring food and drink donations to sell, adding to the fundraiser amount.
Imagine a FB event with hundreds of people attending from all over the world, the West Coast USA trying to make it until Sydney's party starts, integrating our entire Recess global community in one event. Fun, right?

This is a decentralized production, however, Recess will help coordiante the live stream as well as make sure that multiple scene parties coordinate rather than conflict.
